Romanticizing Life with Candace
-
Romanticizing life lately with my very own brand new copy of Candace Owens’ Make Him A Sandwich, the book that had me sprinting to join a book club!
I’m honored to be a part of this movement within this community that’s striving for something meaningful. I’ve struggled with the weight of the truth and finding purpose as a disciple of Christ, but I’m committed to growing, staying faithful and continuing to learn.
There’s so much power in people coming together with good intentions and supporting each other, step by step. I believe in us and I’m so excited to read this and connect over it with you all!

Likewise I just joined and purchased the book because she said she's reading it next. I have never been a part of a book club either physically or virtually. Gonna search site for guidelines on how it works.
I have real issues however with Candace on black people but i'm not sure if it's something specific with some blacks in America that just rub her wrong. Some black americans are really embarrassing to the black race. (But doesnt the same apply to every race? I'm sure for e.g. non-racist white americans find the racist white americans highly embarrassing to the white race?) Sigh... like with the BLM stuff I get the fraud and her sentiments, but then why does it seem like she is so incensed by the black grift while at the same time the Trump phone is a big grift but she doesnt come for him with the same smoke. Why? Is white grift above black grift? See that is why one has to be careful about getting self-righteousness. Because you will always be looked at to have the same smoke for everyone or group of for example fraudsters.
Sigh... I guess i'm here with her but i'm at the same time conflicted because I am a proud black woman, outside of America, and the general sentiments from liberal blacks is that she hates her own race. I admit I haven't been in her audience prior to 2024 so I try to keep and open mind and watch her content for myself but i don't have the time to go back in time to hear from the horses mouth to come down on a side as to whether the anti-black criticisms are justified. Mouthful I know, but as I said i'm a very conflicted listener.
